June - Monthly Garden Tips

Your garden should by now be in full bloom.  During the dry summer months it is important to keep fruit, vegetables, flowers and the lawn well watered using the rainwater collected during those wet winter months.  Your lawn will need to be mowed weekly and by now your hanging baskets should be outside and admired by all who see them.

Pinch out the sideshoots of your tomatoes and carefully stake any tall or floppy plants.  Your greenhouse will need to be shaded so as to protect the plants inside from scorching and, as your crops start to flower and ripen, harvest them and enjoy.
