April - Monthly Garden Tips

This is the time to get weeds under control, sow or turf a new lawn and prick out your seedlings as per packet instructions.  Any new shoots on your roses and other rambling plants should be tied up and fed.  If you want to add colour to the front of your house, why not add some spring bedding to your pots or hanging baskets?

If you're intent on growing fruit and vegetables your chitted potatoes can be planted out now and citrus plants should be fed.  Herbs should now start to be sown along with other outdoor vegetables.
